Howdy folks. I've been recalled back to visit the family for a week.

It's time for another round of biological funtimes!

For the next week or so, Lan will have a rather impressive crest of feathers -- think cockatoo. It's a little different than the last couple of seaons: the feathers are brighter and she's got a rather snazzy, spiny sort of facial-frame going on. [Not my arts!]

Now comes the warning, her temper is going to be short, she'll be bitchy, territorial and generally doesn't like you. Yes, you.

Lan has always preferred the evening, but lately that's become even more pronounced as she's settled into a nicely nocturnal lifestyle. The stars are bright and it's still a little cool out, but Lan doesn't mind the chill in the air. She's found a nice, quiet garden somewhere on one of the Greek islands to meet with Gabriel.

Lan's favourite dive bar is a little, smoky jazz club run by a charming gent named Evius. It's almost too close to movie-perfect. The alleyway leading to it is long, twisted and hardly ever used, but if you know that you're trying to find a certain nameless bar, it's the only way there. At the end of this alley, there is a short, shallow flight of stairs and a heavy steel door with a stereotypical peephole. The doorman is gruff, but will let in the regulars or anyone who isn't human.

Welcome to London, Earth in the year 2007 and a hidden, non-human bar. The ceiling is low, the air smoky and the bar is manned by a centaur. The locals aren't aliens, they're just inhuman.
